CUSTOM SYSTEM

Dimensional Ceiling

The architect from the Morongo Casino presented an innovative concept of undulating illuminated cubes, suspended from the ceiling. Our studio embraced the challenge. Through a collaborative process, we skillfully modeled, designed, and constructed a mock-up within our studio’s ceiling. Delighted with the outcome, the client gave their approval to the final design.

CUSTOM SYSTEM

Slice Grand Staircase

Mitsui Fudosan America is bringing an ambitious 700,000 sqft project to downtown Los Angeles in 2023. The 42-story 8th & Figueroa tower needed an impactful entrance to welcome visitors as they enter the building. We designed and fabricated the only grand staircase that makes you not want to take the elevator instead, with our Slice system.

CUSTOM DESIGN

Mercedes AMG Petronas F1

brief

The walls at their headquarters in Brackley, UK are full of history, and our team had the honor of designing one. The inspiration was the Silverstone Circuit, one of the top racing tracks in the UK.

DEVELOPMENT

We produced a render which can be seen in the popular “digital look” produced to give the public a preview of their next-gen facilities. It features the outline of the Silverstone track with a ripple-like effect.

RESULT

This imposing 80 ft wide wall commands the room where the race bays are located, and it can be seen from every direction. The finished texture is based on Reeds, one of our favorite M|R Walls standard designs.

mrw brief2 image

brief

Inspired by the Toronto’s Urban Forest, this project’s designer wanted The Parker’s residence to enter the parking garage by driving through the forest’s understory filled with a collage of tree trunks, leaves, and canopies.

DEVELOPMENT

Our design development starts with discussing the client’s intentions and reviewing inspiration assets and images. We supplied multiple iterations with various tree species, and design approaches. After going back and forth with design passes, we finalize the design and move from digital to physical.

Our design was produced and installed across 1,400 sq ft of this parking garage in Toronto, CA. Endless forest walls with inconspicuous seams.

DEVELOPMENT

We adopted the original design, held feasibility studies and created a version with a focus on design impact, ease of installation, and durability. We utilized a variety of tools and approaches to highlight the different components of the design in the render.
